The Shawn Cutlip Memorial Scholarship Fund
Shawn Cutlip was a student in the theatre program at Braxton County High School. During his time there he brought an energy and special enthusiasm to all of the roles he played. Shawn had the kind of personality that automatically drew people close to him. He had a smile for almost everyone he met, but his laughter was infectious. He was always ready to do whatever it took to do his role. He never thought twice to shave his head for a role, or to have leaves painted all over him for his favorite role as the Love Talker. Shawn was an integral part of the award-winning BCHS ensemble which had success after success at state and national competitions. Shawn never attended special acting classes after graduation, but he was the kind of theatre student in high school who other students looked to for inspiration and as a role model for what a theatre student should strive for: always doing the very best job he could and being a team player for the good of the entire ensemble. Shawn was a quick learner, sharp-witted, a bundle of raw talent and helped to shape the future of the BCHS theatre department.
